Finally getting around to posting some pics.

Raptor in the morning on Saturday. No editing done here, the jet was glowing with vapor.

Hornet had some nice vapes, especially with the inversion layer that was up around 3-5k feet.

Here are 3 from Sunday. I thought the Raptor with Heritage was a great way to end the weekend.

Nice job Nate! The inversion of the F18 was gorgeous.

I am really disappointed that the Raptor broke twice on Saturday leading to no Heritage Flight. -Makes you wonder about there operational problem log.

I am trying out a new add-on by Topaz called Detail. I used it on the Flanker shots and I think it worked out pretty good. The halo that does show up is from Noiseware sharpening, I think I am able to tame it a bit better now.

Color Fringe looks like what I have been doing in some of my shots, reducing saturation of the magenta and cyans. However my question about color fringe is:

Does it just desaturate or blend in the edges?

Sounds good Mate. I'll give it a try for 10 bucks. Pretty cheap for a plug-in to not try it!

Thanks!

Regarding the Raptor, I agree with your statement....but! As with any "new" weapons system, newer problems come up that weren't seen during the testing and production phase. So, the book that Lockheed Martin built for how to fix the jet will get obsolete and be replaced by the one that the AF maintainers are writing. 4/5 years in operational service is NOT a long time.

Those are stunning shots, I hope you contact Doug to offer some up as Calendars! I love the first Raptor and Boneshot as well!
