Tonight we've got most all of my missions updated with the High Command module. The playable leader slot who can use the module is designated with (HC) in his description.

Remember that from this leader position, you can use the High Command module to order movement for AI teams that have no human leader. So in theory, one player can lead all AI fireteams. In practice, we'll get to make use of an empty AI fire team when we don't have enough players to fill all three teams. We'll see if we can't try this tonight.

Also a new mission from fatty, discussed in the thread he started. Designed for 4 players, come early or stay late and enjoy!

See you there!

You probably won't see me again for at least a couple more weeks. I've been really busy, and I just can't justify sacrificing any length of time.

So tonight we're still using XRox's server?

I have been a lurker of the SimHQ forums for a long time finally got sign up. Was wondering when the best time for a Newbie to play with you guys? I know you guys have a set way in which you play for the serious times. So basically I want to learn how you play but don't want to get in the way on more serious days.

Thanks
BigJohn42

Baptism by fire my friend .. baptism by fire. What better time, just get in a FT and listen to the FTL. No worries.

hehe

In case you were wondering...

FT = Fire Team

FTL = Fire Team Leader

I agree with G - join tonight. Come early and get things setup before the real action starts - usually around 8:00 EST. I will actually be jumping on shortly so if you want to meet me on Teamspeak we could go over whatever you aren't sure about.

I had a great time as well and I also had no connectivity/lag issues at all on the server.

Sounds like good games, was hoping to be there tonight but was sitting on a the perimeter of a grow house for hours... whatever happened to SWAT raids at 4 in the morning, now they seem to do it at 7 or 8 o"clock at night. (our SWAT LT don't like getting up early, lol.)

Grow house? Is that the new term for marijuana houses? biggrin

Yup.

The trend up here is to buy a nice home in a quiet private suburb with large lots, setup the grow op in the basement, hope they don't find you via the power bill. They get jail time when caught, but it's nothing for them considering the cash they just made, a few years and out on good behaviour, pick up the gold coins in the woods and away you go to Mexico! ;-)

Once a house is setup for one, it's wrecked though. An old co-working of mine lived next to one, it got raided, and they looked into buying the house, needed all the drywall wripped off the walls, new flooring, insulation, etc, the moisture and smell was everywhere.

High Command works nicely by the way, like how I can put the FT's right where you want them.
I tried using it from a safe location and using the map only, but I find it hard to read the topography of the maps. I like to use hills, cover to approach objectives, and it's sometimes hard to judge distances, so you need to pop out of map mode and go first person. We had one wash out the first time I tried it (didn't use my air assests well on that one), and the second time with the raid on the town then convoy ambush, I thought it worked great.
