SimHQ is pleased to present the very first "in-game" screenshots of the work-in-progress flight simulation, DCS: A-10C Warthog from Eagle Dynamics.

Beautifull. I can't wait already. But maybe this time waiting will be much more easier for me 'cuz I got great sim wich I haven't totally mastered yet - DCS: Ka-50 BlackShark. Definitely will be watching news.

Zoinks! Those look superb.

I am really looking forward to this one - learning how to use the onboard systems to fly and navigate the plane effectively will be a rewarding challenge in itself.

I haven't been following developments: any word on where it will be set? I assume same setting as DCS: Black Shark?

Looks sweet, but whether I'll seat in that cockpit or not will depend on the question of their distribution/DRM/installation model. If it is like Black Shark, then they already have lost me - again.

Looks amazing. Can't wait for an A-10 with a clickable cockpit. Learning all those commands by heart in Lock On was a turn off. Screenshot nr. 3 is real cool. Looking forward to being high(higher) and fast compared to the low and slow Ka-50

It isn't anything like the Ka-50. It's tons better as a whole.

Also, the A-10C actually flies as opposed to being so ugly it gets repelled from the ground biggrin

Very nice graphics and finally a USAF a/c to fly.

I hope the improve on the multiplayer and campaign over what we have with DCS and LockOn-FC today.
Will it allow flying with other DCS flyable a/c, such as we have in BlackShark?

Also, looking for improvements in multiplayer that doesnt bog down as more people join when there are medium to high number of game objects being drawn.

A campaign engine to allow squadron game play on a continuous basis.

The intent is for it to be network compatible with Black Shark - so you should be able to fly A-10C's and Ka-50's in the same mission in MP.

There is a set number of improvements that the A-10C module will make on top of the Ka-50 module. More details will be released in 2010 I believe.

Beautiful~~ Looking forward to this one

Though judging from the screenies, the Hog C will still fly over the Caucasus region?

Kinda a downer for me.. we'll have a realistic modeled aircraft whilst being in a place it would unlikely to be deployed.

I hope ED would find another region in Russia.
Maybe the Far East.. that could include Southeastern Russia, Korean Peninsula and China.

Oh, afaik, there's also an A-10 squadron deployed in Osan, ROK~ smile

Oh well, nevertheless this looks like a very sweet progress smile

That's the funniest thing I've read all day; like an ingeniously twisted "yo mama ..." joke.

BTW - I too am anxiously looking forward to this one, ED really do know what they're doing and those screens are savory.

released when it's done, or a general release date planned?

if infected with star farce, this might be that one special sim that convinces me to build a special gaming only, drm-infested system. i can't imagine a cooler sim than ground pounding in a warthog, and ed make what are by far the prettiest, most cutting-edge flight sims.

Have they announced if this will be a stand alone game, or an expansion requiring Black Shark? Not very interested in that particular chopper, so stand alone is preferable.
I could swear somewhere I read an Apache game would be coming out after the A-10, or did I dream that?

"The intent is for it to be network compatible with Black Shark - so you should be able to fly A-10C's and Ka-50's in the same mission in MP."

That's amazing, I'd love to see it in action.
I'm hoping my pc is up to this thing now.

Looking forward to it myself, I love the A-10 and am glad to see it done in high fidelity. My first combat flight sim was A-10 Thunderbolt 2 by Dynamix, at the tender age of 10 or so.

The A-10 and Ka-50 modules are independent. They can link but they don't have to. You can buy one only and play with someone that only bought the other.

I can't wait to play a coop with Su-27 CAP, an A-10C busting things up, and a Ka-50 being a FAC with WP rockets... all players human and on the same mission!
