trying to make longbow 2 run on the retail x64 Win 7 Ultimate. Any of you succeeded with that?

Should be the same as for Vista x64.

Can someone upload the patched lb2 files? As I can't run the update under Windows 7 x64. The files are not on Flyboys site anymore.

Hey guys, i'm also trying to get this baby to work again on Win7 64 bit. Thing is, i'm using a Matrox tripleHead2Go. Once the game launches, my screen goes black and the system freezes. I guess it doesn't like my desktop resolution. Is there a special setting for windowed mode?
".....\LB2.exe" -window doesn't change anything.

Make sure the ingame resolution is specified in the degevoodoo settings. If your resolution is not listed then it will not run.
There are no known parameters to run LB2 in a window.

Just for Grins and Giggles I installed Longbow2 on my Windows7 x64 operating system to see if it would run. I remember going through hoops to install it on XP. Win7x64 was alot easier and it looks great. Here is what I did, I had no guidance because Speichts site does not seem to be up. So I took a stab it:

Installed Longbow 2

Copied the patched files for x64 op system (I found a thread saying I probably need these)
into the Longbow2 folder replacing the existing files.

Installed dgVoodoo 1.5 beta

Set it to 1920x1080 (my monitor resolution)

Cranked up my Thrustmaster Cougar.

Set the compatibility mode for both the dgvoodoo and LB2.exe to Windows SP3
and disable visual themes and desktop composition.

It worked very well on my NVIDIA GTX280

I never had Vista, I skipped that operating system so I had no experience other than XP.
Works really nice on Win7

One other thing

I had to check the box in dgvoodoo to wait for vertical sync or it ran a little to fast.

Hi Walt, thanks for sharing that with us. Thanks also for pointing out that the Speichts site is down, I didn't know that. I will have to make a start on uploading the backup one now.
