This is an excellent, excellent idea Laser. Thanks for making it. Already I feel I have got more out of ROF. It's great especially for getting some gunnery practice in. I used IL2's QMB extensively for that, often at the start practising on unarmed or friendly bombers or transports, just so I could work out what I was doing. If you can add other flights sometime, it would be great. If you never lift a finger again on this, you have still made a great contribution.

This might be a "DUH" ,but....I found that if I go into my "missions" folder ( in "data" folder & find the 3 files I've just created in this utility & then make a folder with an appropriate title & put them inside this new folder , it makes them easier to find in the in game menu esp. if I've made folders for each of the aircraft as well.
Yes it works!

Oh! that is a good idea, setting up the mission with friendly planes for easy target practice. Perfect for learning how to get in close and placing you shots where you intend. Can't really do that against active AI.

True but that's exactly what you'll have to do eventually. wink It's good just to get good at target practice but then you'll need to practice on moving targets (actively evading you) for it to do you any good. Of course you already know this. biggrin

Dietz, if you load your QMB into the ROF mission builder you can change the date and time as well as other things but the date and time is very easy. Set mine up for Dusk, nice sunset smile
Would attach a picture here if I knew how.

It's an amazing piece of software, and very useful.
Maybe at a later stage , it could become a full mission editor, where you can put in all those buildings, aircraft, artillery and so on.
That would be cool, very cool........ biggrin

Keep up the good work!

Great little bit of software thank you. I have however noticed that the AI opposition even when set to Ace level are not very aggressive. When two formations merge the opposition tends to just fly on with little desire to engage in combat.
