Hi folks,
Just getting into YAPv2 and trying to learn to fly the helos. My controller setup consists of an MSFF2 stick, CH Pro pedals and an X45 stick and throttle.
I usually fly all my sims with the MS stick, pro pedals and X45 throttle only. I use the X45 stick as a button bay.
I have the X45 throttle bolted to the left side of my seat for a little more immersion. I've just bolted the X45 stick ahead of and slightly below the throttle at an angle so as to imitate the use of a collective when flying helos. I can push/pull the stick to simulate the lowering and raising of the collective.
Ergonomically it works really well, the only problem I have is that the axis works the wrong way, ie if I pull the stick up I get 0% power whilst pushing it down gives me 100% power. I can't see any way of inverting the axis either from within the YAP control setup or by using the Saitek programming software.
Also, is there a way to know how much thrust vector is applied? Or is it a case of it's either up(on) or down(off)? I've got the up/down keys mapped to a hat switch on my X45 stick/collective for a real HOTAS treat!
Anybody got any suggestions I might try?
Thanks in advance,
WB.
