Nice, going to try it out tomorrow maybe. I will let you know if I find any problems.

Thanks!

Nice to see how it actually works in the mission builder. I made my own version with only allied adversaries, moved the enemy planes further away and included a take-off for the two players at La Jolly Ferme... It's great if you want to have some dogfight practise with your wingman!

The only problem I have is with the order/opposite thing. You have the player controlled dvii on the opposite side and nothing on the order side.

From my understanding the order is the coop side and the opposite is the empty side or the side that tries to stop the coop mission from success.

Understood. Well, the waves in roulette are dynamically generated, so, unfortunately, until humans can occupy aircraft that are spawned in after the mission starts (maybe possible once dogfight mode is included), roulette will be humans on one side only.

I changed the side (faction) to opposite to see crosses versus roundels during the plane selection phase. Functionally, I don't think there's much of a difference though.

Anyway, thanks much for checking it out!

Gustang can you make these missions for the Allied birds too?

Great idea Gustang, and thanks a million!

It'll be great when enough get proficient with the ME so that they can design linear campaigns which can be flown with the MP server (either set up as solo play or for open MP sessions).

Gustang, how quick or efficient is it to convert the sim's solo missions to MP format as you did with the RR missions?

Hey FR,

I finally decided to sit down and make these to fly with a buddy and decided to distribute them so others can do the same. It took a greater portion of a day to make these, but most of that was learning curve due to the complexity and the testing can be time consuming (much better w/ unlimited ammo and invulnerability options biggrin ).

Otherwise, converting a SP to MP is really quick and easy, again depending on the complexity of the mission of course. Basically, all you need to do is enable the "Cooperative" and "enabled" checkbox for each aircraft you want to include and then save the mission in the \Rise of Flight\data\Multiplayer\cooperative\ directory.

I've been saving up my D7 campaign missions to convert them and play with humans in the D7s. Converting the campaign missions can get tedious and hard to balance, but if you want all humans to play versus AI, it's super quick. see thread:

http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/2828653/Don_t_throw_away_a_good_missio.html#Post2828653

I converted Double_Tap's Warfusee to MP co-op so my flying buddy and I could play it from either perspective. You get to scramble the spad13, n17 or n28 (out of the hangers smile from the order side. The quick conversions is a bit lopsided and could use some editing, but will work fine with some discretion. Here's the conversion (now with extra daylight!):

Edit: Well, beware when flying the N28s in that one. I've run into random crashing when they're occupied w/ humans. Haven't had a chance to look into why that is. Also, when hosting these SP missions as MP, I guess we can't expect that they'll behave the same. I was hosting the Warfusee mission last night and the only other person on the server, RH, jumped into a N28. The first attempt crashed the game in less than a minute. The second attempt lasted longer, but the DVIIs flew past the aerodrome, flying straight away until I ran them down in a spad, and after about 5-10 minutes, game crashed again frown. So I may have to deactivate the N28s for now or figure out why they, in this particular mission, seem to crash the game. It's crashed when I'm in the N28s too. When we're in the spads or d7s, I don't think it's ever crashed then.
