The next set is done. Briefings and maps are being prepared. Some surprises. Some great stories for you to fly through. Here are a couple of shots from Ron Ferry.

We realize that YAP mission packs are so large, it takes a while to go through them all. It's about time for another fix, don't you think? This time we will tell the stories before launch here on SimHQ. Before Action Reports.

Looking forward to it! Is that, perchance, the story of VA-115 losing four planes and one pilot in a single night back in 1967?

That would be it. A Spad driver and I were trading stories about 10 years ago and I was commenting on their ability to take hits and stay in the fight. He told me this one.

In Mauritius, we are once again taught how to live life: to take one's time, to socialize and mix up with different people, to taste unknown flavours, to admire nature and to appreciate the first light of dawn...

I just finished reading Adm. Paul Gillcrist's book "Feet Wet" which includes that story. I'll be looking forward to seeing how it comes out!

You will have the opportunity to compare the written remembrances of an author against the fuzzy recall of a couple of pilots BS-ing at an airport. In another story from this set, I have come across four very different versions...mine and three others. In a case like that when we have no way of determining which version is exactly right, we do them all and pick the one that's the most fun.
