Pretty cool huh?

Like to see them try that in another sim lol.

Seriously though, this sim has such hidden depths.

It can only get better.

it's cool how the fuselage actually bends before the plane breaks apart. Good stuff.

Hmm, I was thinking there was much too much bouncing - I'd have thought much more energy absorbed in plastic collision - these look almost purely elastic. It also seems from videos etc that the strength of wing primary structures (as opposed to the ribs and skin) is under-represented.

Simply - the two objects should more often end the collision at nearly the same speed and tangled, rather than bouncing off each other as much.

There was at least one FE2b (IIRC - can't recall exact model) that collided with a barrage balloon apron over London, the cable sliced through the wing to the spar, where the structure held, and the aircraft came to an abrupt halt, before sliding down the cable to the ground. Both crew survived.

I cannot see that being possible with this collision model - it looks like wings fall off at the slightest excuse at the moment.

Pretty amazing stuff.. best DM I've seen, and that was in slow motion, at full speed it would even look better. The only one that looked a bit funny was the head on with the train and the train was stopped.. not gonna happen, no way, but that's just said in jest. Really neat how much they have programed into it.

Yeh i mean compare it to any other DM model out there, its lightyears ahead.

One thing that I havent encountered yet thought is shot through control cabels.

Anyone else had this?
