Hi, I ordered ARMA II from go-gamer on Thurs July 9th, paid for 2 day shipping, got it Sat. 11th. Unfortunately, the disk was loose inside the DVD case, and really got scuffed/scratched, on the data side. It even nearly rubbed off part of the serial number on the back of the booklet, but I was able to read it.
The game wouldnt install for me, always stopping at the same file. I tried a cleaning kit, and it kept giving a CRC error on chernarus_data_layers.pbo. Finally I searched the 'net and found someone who had the same problem with the same file, (no mentions of scratches on his DVD), and took his path of looking for a comp. with a DVD device that would read that file, and then moved everything over to the target computer with a USB thumb drive, and installed from the files now copied to the HD. Worked for me, but I still have this scratched DVD. Lucky for me, the DVD will let me start the game.
Who do I contact to get a new DVD to replace the one scratched in shipment?
Thanks, Dan.
