Another problem:

I let RoF sit at the main menu for an extended period of time without doing anything on the PC (About 1 hr) after having launched and played one mission. When I got back, and launched another single player mission I got no sound except for the engine noise inside the cockpit. No gun fire sounds, no gun cocking sounds, no engine start noise, no ground roll noise and nothing in the external camera.

I suspect a memory leak somewhere in the sound engine which would explain a lot with the random CTDs and the corrupted sounds in Training...
