They didn't show the assembly of the pilot. I've always wondered about that part.

Someone needs to seriously smack the aircraft industry upside the head and introduce the to the concept of automation. No wonder the price of anything with wings (but military aircraft in particular) is beyond ludicrous today.

I was also a little surprised that there was a lot more manual work involved. Still, it's a very cool video. When the initial cockpit structure went together, it did remind me of the plastic kits. biggrin

I was watching a show I think called Weapons Factory or something and they were showing the assembaly of the Apache. Aside from the jig they use, just about everything is by hand - not counting the power tools. They even physically push the aircraft from one station to the next in the assembably process.
