There is no YAP1. YAP2 is just the name we used to differentiate between what and how we presented stories. Many are the same. Many have been replaced. The main difference is in the ability to immerse the player. With the advent of Deuces' clouds and jungle as well as refueling, villages and carriers, we are able to do things we could not in the original offering. We have brought in all the aircraft that are part of the stories...or will have by the time all 10 mission sets are posted.
Some missions were discarded altogether. Since we get our stories from people, not the Internet, we get them without all the detail. When we start trying to fill in squadrons and loadouts and can no longer contact the pilot/navigator/grunt/ordie/whoever, they sometimes lack enough fact to do them. Or they are BS. We had some in YAP that could not have happened as they were told to us. Some people brought us stories from books they liked and claimed knowledge they did not have. Certainly we can create something we read but we think that if YOU know that we are telling something that really happened, it will help you make the Leap of Faith into believing what you see. That's important.
I have access to the people whose stories we tell since I am one of them...legitimately. I have fought at many of these places. It is no fantasy to me. We are trying to put you there and YAP2 is the best way to do it.
