Can someone please verify that currently the only way to host a game yourself is to have the hosting computer assigned a public IP address? I spent a bunch of time trying to host my own game only to find in the troubleshooting section that it's apparently not possible to host behind a router at this time. From all I've read, NAT'd hosting is not yet possible, either dedicated or peer-to-peer.
After a couple tries, my friend and I ended up jumping on only server we could see - the US dedicated one. We both had a great time in the limited scenario and will probably try that again tonight, but I'd really like to try some of the other scenarios clearly available for co-op MP.
Also, is there a way to see other servers available around the world? Is the server list a product of your profile or otherwise?
Either way, I'm really looking forward to seeing more!
Edit: well, now according to this, nat'd hosting
is possible. I never did anything with the net.cfg, so I guess I'll try that config file next.
