I just watched the Gamespot EE2 movie. It played fine and the game looks great!

Problem is, a lot of the mods are not going to be in it. Having the config file in GUI form in the options menu would be nice, but if many of the features aren't there the point of this is diminished.
Like I've said before, pretty much looks like older EE with true 3D terrain/rain/sky, better lighting, and some slight tweaks here and there. For stereoscopic users, that's all you need to hear. Sold. The big advantage in the short term for everyone else is EE no longer being a discontinued product. But its staying power will correlate to how much the community mods can be added to it to bring it up to the current level. A 1.8.2 equivolent with the G2 tweaks would be a definite improvement. I hope that can eventually be achieved. If G2 is indeed just running a slick little scheme, then that might never happen. I'm crossing my fingers that is not the case.

Does anyone know if they fixed the ground unit traffic jams? I always missed ground units that actually behaves like ground units would. Attacking infantry out in the open one by one or a bunch of tanks piled up a the cross roads doesn't really cut it when it comes to a simulator.
-C- Amen, this killed EECH for me, the whole 2 T-72's, a BMP, and a 2 1/2 ton truck parked at an intersection for no apparent reason. The ground units sucked bad in EECH. These movies not only look the same, but the sounds are so as well.

That looked like it was the same one the topic starter posted from Gamestop. At least that is the video the link loads.

I dont see much difference in that video compared to EECH 1.Ok so we have individual trees now and cities are different which is an improvement.Multiplayer corrections and a little eye candy just doesnt do it for me.The positiv thing to this I guess is that we do get a new theatre.

For me, most of the benefit comes from the fact that I can now; A) Get the game and B) Not have to patch it all up to play (which I can't do anyways since I can't find my original copy of EECH). So, for me, this release is long awaited.
