Viks is just good, that is all. He found the "bat turn" (dialing in max trim while turning) exploit, but he wasn't the only one. It wasn't cheating as such, more just using what was available. However it was decided that if you are good and had the brains to get to know your aircraft inside out, then you are obviously a cheat.
IL2 had a very robust net code that made it very difficult to cheat in the same way people use hacks in the world of FPS. So most accusations of cheating were totally unfounded.
Chivas hit the nail on the head. Some people are legends in their own imagination, if anyone kills them then they are obviously cheating.
But wasn't it just this "Viks" (now with the RoF team) who was one of the worst cheaters in the IL2 servers back then ?........I may be wrong though .. and if i'm sorry.
Pretty poor form that post.
IIRC, Wasn't Catfish a known cheat, one of the worst. Used code exploits to change the FM and DM in Red Baron and IL2. Had quite a rep in the early days of CFS3 too.......but, then I again I might be wrong.
