Excellent shots! Love the 2-seater's view of D.VII pic!! I noticed the last shot, that 2-seater has alot of wingtip damage, that D.VII sure takes a getting used to as a gun platform...guess you could say... "it's one unstable Fokker!" Thanks for the images!

Awesome shots. I guess you can adjust the camera in pause? Pause stops the TrackIR so I never tried it.

The pilot will also do random bits of movement, scratches and stuff when viewed from the external - it's actually quite cool!
And as Jason was saying, the gunner will slump over the side when killed, or sink into his position.
Great stuff!
"I was at only <100meters bangin away at an enemy 2-seater, and I saw the rear gunner throw his arms up and fall into his hole."
I just wish ROF had a movie feature (ala IL2 .trk) or something similar so I could go back and watch that! I only caught it out of the corner of my eye.

Beatiful shots!
Even though I'm a huge flightsim fan, I don't know much about ROF. How do you guys feel about it?

Hows the immersion? Do you actually feel like a pilot in WWI or is it a bunch of missions stringed together with gorgeous graphics and a good flight model?

Great shots Sim! Hows the immersion? Do you actually feel like a pilot in WWI or is it a bunch of missions stringed together with gorgeous graphics and a good flight model? IMHO It's actually kinda' both vonKhan...yes, the missions feel "canned" when looking at the overall bigger picture. ...but while flying one mission, when "in that moment", the immersion is incredibly high (for me at least). And it's not only ROF's sights, but sounds as well.

But the campaign backdrop leaves something to be desired? Are there squadron kill boards and rosters? Customizable paint schemes?

Are there squadron kill boards and rosters? Customizable paint schemes? No, No and No. The single player campaigns are truly terrible. No real feeling of being part of a large scale war. Some smoke and random artillery explosions at the front is about as much as you can expect. You get no feeling of being in a squadron or jasta. You and four other anonymous aircraft in your flight, no squadron specific markings or numbers. No pilot roster, no kill boards. Every mission I have flown so far has been 5v2 in our favour so there is no white knuckle sweaty palm dogfight moments. Every single comabt I have been involved in with the campaign has been fighting for scraps with your 4 anonymous wingmen. RoF is a great sim of flying WWI era fighters, the 1 v 1 combat is excellent but the single player campaign needs a total overhaul. It's a case of looks great, flies great but has no substance. I just bought the Nieuport 17 for a great price. It looks great, flies great and is fun to fly. The problem is that with the appalling single player campaign experience just flying around or doing 1v1 quick missions is starting to get very VERY boring and shallow. It doesn't help that the MP aspect is also very badly implemented. As I type this there are 3 servers with a grand total of 7 people flying. Neoqb have already demonstrated their desire and commitment for Rise of Flight, I can only hope they can get this very rough diamond polished very quickly. I have no regrets that I bought Rise of Flight... yet! Only future updates will tell if RoF will be a long term success rather than a short term flash in the pan.
