Um , where's the smoke from heated engine oil? Even FE has that.

Yeah, I even went into the cfg and bumped up the HDR quality.

Both sets are from quick missions, the first is killing that balloon and there was one fighter waiting but apparently the type and number of enemies are randomized. The second set is just free flight, these planes are just fun (and a bit of a handful) to fly.

I started a career last night and it was pretty active over the front. I saw ground fighting going on, plenty of flak and other planes in the sky. It's not as sterile as Lomac or the IL-2 DGen campigns.

Great screens

It's out, I got it from gogamer in two days with the free shipping. Don't know about retail shops.

The engines smoke, it's just gray and doesn't really shop up in the compressed, resized screens.

OK, so long as it is there to some degree. Maybe a modder can increase the density later.

It's very noticeable in the game, it's just the way that it's done it kind of disappears in still frames and then these screens are sized down by almost half so really fine detail like that disappears.

Upon further testing I found out that forcing HDR in the cfg and "The Front" are just not compatible, at least on my machine it was a 50 FPS difference with it off. Unplayable on and other graphics settings made little to no difference, maybe if you have a really, really fast machine.

Looks great, but only 2 flyables and a non-functioning options button?

The Options/Settings are set before you launch the game. The Options button inside the sim has never worked, but that will change.
