I generally use the "up-down-left" arrows as hotkeys for my TIR. Usually no use for them anyway if you´re using a joystick!

Yeah that is what I have been doing. Jason implied that you were supposed to hit "invert" before moving the axis, which is impossible. It is weird though. When I invert the controls, at FIRST things work out good, then after moving the throttle a little bit it seems to auto correct back to being the wrong way. Maybe I am seeing things though.

Basically my rudders are backwards, and my throttle is backwards (haven't bothered to mess with mixture axis yes). I have tried both my x52 and CH Yoke throttles, both stay inverted no matter what.

You can also go into your x:\rof\data\input\ folder and edit your custom input.map file ( Mine is named WWBrian_input.map for example)

then locate the following two lines YAW and THROTTLE

action("RPC_YAW_N",State,joy0_axis_T);
action("RPC_THROTTLE_N",State,joy0_axis_Z);

...change the YAW_N to YAW_P

and the THROTTLE_N to THROTTLE_P

..this changes axis-Negative to axis-Positive.

or..if they are already a P change them to an N.

Try playing with your TrackIR software. I use F12 in ROF also, so make sure it's set in your TiR software for that profile.

I think there are some current TrackIR improvments comin for ROF though as well.

What did you change in your TrackIR software settings? I've tried numerous things to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

My quote was in response to the OP.

..for your "recentering when you dont want it to" -- I would just suggest maybe some more aggressive curves so you dont have to turn your real head as much. I know...you may be suprised how much more you use TiR in a WW1 setting than WW2. At least for me, I'm swingin around all over the place. I get out of whack too at times. But nutin a quick F12 wont cure.

How does your TiR's "tracking" window look? do you have VE?
How do your green dots look? ( or your one dot without the 6DoF)
Do they get close to each other? ( if you have 6DoF)

this recentering happens when TrackIR gets confused. It gets confused when it loses its tracking. That could be caused by lots of things.
Thats why I said just "play" with it.

Also, make sure you have the "Rise of Flight" update for TrackIR ( from the update -> Check for games option)

Hope this Helps

What program do you use to edit the .map file?

OK I figured out my trackIR problem...

Have to run trackIR as an Admin. oops

I don't need to for IL-2 or MS Flight Sim X, but you do for ROF.
