I'm using a MSSWFFB and CH Pro pedals. The rudder control is set to the joystick twist and I need it to be on the pedals. I go to the settings and the only two choices for yaw control are joy1_axis_T and mouse_axis_Y. How do I edit this and what do I edit it to to get my pedals working. After using pedals for a while it's difficult to revert back, like I would want to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Nice game, so far.

Under settings, Input just go to the yaw controls (under the plane controls drop down) and click change.



Once you click change don't touch the mouse. Go and move your pedals. It will come up with your joyaxis2 (or whatever number your pedals are listed as).

Then click OK.

Important here. Click Save As and save the file under a new name (mine is tommy). Then you can use the tommy file. You can't change the original input file. This is a good thing, smart actually if you think about it.

So is there really no way to do this in game? I only got to "play" for an hour yesterday, but that entire hour was me configuring keys and settings, which involved quitting out of the game. The "Options" button when you're in game doesn't seem to do anything at all. Is this a feature for everyone?

You cannot set controllers from in game. The one thing about new sims I have to keep telling myself is to allow at least 20-45min right after installation is to set up proper controls before trying to play. If I dont then I cant really sit down and enjoy the experience.

Right after installation of Black Shark it took me an hour or so to properly set up my controllers before even taking off. This is the one thing I dread before playing any new sim because like most people I want to get in and start flying, but I know if I dont do it then I do not get the full 1st time experience of the flight model and how the aircraft should handle.

The rudder works now but Larry, Curly, and Moe got the cables on wrong and right is left and left is right. Anthony Fokker, where are you? Please help me fix this. And send me some different mechanics. Mine are dyslexic!

You can correct this by editing the *.map file you're using in the \data\input directory.
On the command names, "P" means positive and "N" means negative... so for example if you change
action("RPC_YAW_N",State,...); by
action("RPC_YAW_P",State,...);
It will change the direction of the move.

Well just call me Shemp! All I had to do was go into settings and invert axis. Works fine now. Love the ricochet effect! Just had to go shoot something! Got it under control now. Thanks guys!

That helped a LOT! I couldn't figure out how to make teh changes...I was moving the mouse every time. So simple...but if you don't know it, it can be Very Frustrating.
