Salute all!
When I go into multiplayer I only see 1 server. When I enter this server I can choose a plane but I can't figure out how to get in and start flying.
What am I missing?
Thanks

All multiplayer missions are "cooperative," meaning that if one isn't there at the start, one can't fly in the mission. One is punted to spectator mode if it's in the settings of the server, or a nice view of the landscape if it isn't.

What you need to do is go ahead and start up a server!

Yes, the sim is just now dribbling into mailboxes and front porches, so it might be very lonely on the servers for a few three days.

You're kidding right?
No 'open' servers with people already in them that you can jump into at any time?

I fly IL2 and there are open servers there such as =gRiJ=Dedicado and Spitz vs BF109.

maybe hyperlobby will add ROF to their list of games so its easy to find servers?? dont know how the interface will work with the game though.

These are dogfight servers

As indicated by Dart, there's no online dogfight mode in RoF, only a online cooperative mode (in witch you can only join at each mission start).
Online dogfight mode will be added later in a patch.

In Il2 also, you have 2 online mode, the dogfight (which server you can join any time), and cooperative (where you can't join once the mission is started)

And no... RoF can't work with hypperlobby, since it has its own server browser. Maybe later Jiri can add something for RoF access in Hypperlobby... I don't know if it's technically possible.

I wish I'd have known that before I bought the game. I'm going to go post this info on a couple of RB3d squad sites that I either maintain or frequent. I wonder what kind of hassle I'm going to have to go through to get my money back. frown

Well... this was advertized since long time on developper's blog.

You still can setup some quick dogfight missions.... just create a mission with air start, with 2 groups close to each others and heading toward each other.
The action will be packed and quick, and all the players will be able to rejoin at each mission start.
