I got ROF today and installed it without any problems at all. I set it up, I registered it, and I'm ready as of this point to take off. I login with no trouble at all, but when I try and create a profile to actually play, I keep getting a message that simply reads "Server Error". That's it, no other information or anything. It's preventing me from flying at all.

I checked back at the website, my registration code has no errors, my email address and password haven't changed, and I'm well within the minimum requirements for Internet connection speed (768KB/s). I'm using a wireless connection device, but it's not having any trouble at all picking up a signal. I mean, I'm using the Internet right now FFS at an "Excellent" signal strength rating. I can use STEAM games without any trouble either.

So what's the deal with this nonsense? Are Neobq's servers down ATM or what?

I feel like a gigantic middle finger has just been stuck right in my face... lol. I've been waiting for this moment for four years now, but it was all apparently for nothing. I am blocked by one damn error.

EDIT:

Great. I just found out Michael Jackson died.

This has been a crappy month. sigh

Check if your firewall allows RoF as an exception
Also check if you have ports 28000 and 28001 open in UDP

both could prevent the game to talk with the server and give the "server error" message.

Yup. Server error can be something other than a server error. smile

If you accidently login an incorrect username or password you'll get it.

Not that I would know anything about that. -coff-
