Planned availability of Flight System G940 is September 3 in North America, September 17 in Europe. I can't be more specific on retailers and countries.

Since we just had a review of the Logitech G27 I wonder if we perhaps might be graced with a G940 review soon?

Any release date for Australia? Or is there somewhere online that will ship to Australia? Really looking forward to this.

hello Mr. Mark Logitech.

I recently ran into you video.
i just want to say that I am impressed by the latest product offering...
the design of the G940 is amazing.

i just recently refurbished a Suncom Talon with the electronics of a CH Flight Sim Yoke.
last year i completed a modification of a CH pro pedals as a torque pedal, combatstick as cyclic controller with long shaft base, and pro throttle modified as helicopter collective.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=44448

my home built torque pedals orignally had modifed saitek aviator installed, but i later removed the saitek electronics in favor of the CH pro pedals...why? BECAUSE THE CH CONTROL MANAGER utility is AMAZING, allowing me to program pretty much what i want it to do.

experience has showed me that it is the programming software that makes or breaks the controller.
it was even more fustrating when the recent games lable "games for windows" centers its control options around a DUMB XBOX 360 Controller..(if i ever run into the guy that developed that concept, i would shoot him...i mean come on... leave the 360 nonsense on the console)

anyways...

moving along, i almost imported a helicopter control set called the MRVC copycat by RC simulations.

https://sslrelay.com/www.rcsimulations.co.uk/sess/utn;jsessionid=154a9204f69d3f2/shopdata/0015_Controls+=26amp=3B+Hardware/0090_Copycat+MRVC/product_details.shopscript?article=0002_MRVC%2BHelicopter%2BSet%2B-%2BStandard%2BSpecial%2BOrder%2BCall%2Bfor%2BPricing%2B%3D28MRVC001%3D29

at a cost of 2500$ , i later deemed it worthless because it incorporated Saitek x52 units onto this frame.
worthless i say because working with saitek SST sofeware, and i have to say this utility SUX.
offers basic mappings.. hardly any options on axises...

talking to my buddies in the flight sim world (guys who play lock on and dcs black shark)
they also agree with me on this... most have the thrustmaster cougar, and the Foxy programming software never fail them ( i never used it..just hear good things bout it)
...the programming software IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!
i CONCLUDE with 2 questions...

a) can you give us a document, a video tutorial, screenshots anything on the programming software???

b) what happens to the joystick, if your using a game/program that dosent use forcefeedback? ( i hate to see the joystick flop over)

thats it..
look forward to your response

sincecerly

Currently, the G940 uses the latest version of Logitech Gaming Software. We will be producing more tutorials and information on the software, relative to the G940 specifics.

If your simulation does not support force feedback, you can enable centering force in the stick driver. It is adjustable for force as well.

sory if I have not read all 11 pages but....I'm going to trade my ''old'' X52 for this marvel and I was wondering if you know were I can purchase it in Canada ?

And if it's going to be like 3 seperate controller, will it work well with Il2 1946 ?
Thx

hmm..
interesting

i have NOT found a concrete positive review of forcefeed back use in dCS Black shark, using the Logitech force 3d..

i only hear praises about forcefeed back with Microsoft's discontinued Sidewinder forcefeedback pro..

Mark, whats up with that?
will G940 compare?

i want to really spend the 300$..but i have to know that it is worth it..

Hello Mark,

Not sure if you remember me or not, but I'm the guy who started and developed the UnOfficial Saitek Help web site for the X-36 years ago.

Just wanted to congradulate you and Logitech on what looks like a great product. Looks like you've done a great deal of research and work on it's development.

I've already pre-ordered one and look forward to running it through it's paces.
