Jay, my GoGamer order is now listing as cancelled, yet there is a charge on my account for $39.90 from GoGamer.com....

What you see is a pre-authorization. In my post above I mention a pre-authorize is not a capture. We failed to capture the money for whatever reason. What you think is a charge is actually not a full charge. When we do a pre-authorization the money is reserved for us so we try to capture it, but it is not given to us, nor is it available to you, it's in a kind of limbo with your bank. What happens is that since we did not capture the money that was pre-authorized it is made available to you again in a couple days. The actual amount of time is up to your bank. No one likes this, but this is how credit card captures work. There is always a delay from when a capture is declined and when the money is returned. It's really annoying and I hate the process because it only irritates people, but there is nothing else I can do. I wish the money was made available to you again instantly, but it is not. Banks let you spend money, but they don't like to return it.
My suggestion is to call your bank, ask them why you were declined, fix whatever the issue is and re-order.
We deal with everyday here. It's not a scam, it's just an inconvenience of how Credit Card banking and e-commerce work.
