Hello Rise of Flight Pre-Orderers,

If you have pre-ordered ROF from GoGamer.com I'd like to say a few words about your order so you understand our shipping process at GoGamer.com.

1. We will attempt to ship all pre-orders of ROF on Wednesday after we receive our shipment. We will make every attempt to do so, but if our shipment is late all pre-orders may not make the last FedEX or USPS truck out. If this happens, please try to understand and we will ship the next day. Technically we are shipping a day earlier than planned. ..Horray!

2. If you place an order for ROF any time on Wednesday, there is no guarantee it will go out on Wednesday. We are servicing ROF pre-orders that came in before 12:01am Wednesday June 24th first. There is quite a lot, so any orders on Wednesday may not get out until Thursday the 25th (the official release day). We’ll try, but there is no guarantee it will get out on Wednesday.

3. We will begin to "push" all our pre-orders at 12:01am Tuesday, June 23rd (late tonight), that means we will attempt to final capture the funds for the order from your CC or Debit account. Sometimes, during that process your card may get declined for any number of reasons. Just because we've accepted a pre-order and we've pre-authorized your card does not mean the final capture will 100% go through. We are running the cards on Tuesday so any cards/orders that are declined can get sorted/re-ordered before Wednesday and increase your chances of making it in the first shipment out.

4. Some reasons for declination is a bad address, non matching addresses, no funds available, bad CVV #, bad phone number, expired card or you're just a thief with a stolen credit card. Regardless, if your card gets declined, your order will automatically be canceled. Unfortunately, we cannot re-instate your order once canceled. Please simply place a new order through the website, but before you do, check with your bank and make sure your account info is correct and there are no holds on your card etc. If your order is declined, please understand that the decision to decline your card came from our credit card processor and was not a decision made by GoGamer staff. The best thing to do if you are declined is to simply double check your account info and try again. For security reasons we are given very little info about why your card was declined. If you are declined your bank can probably best tell you why. The GoGamer website is very secure and many bits of info about a customer’s account or credit card is unavailable to us, so please understand we may not be able to tell you exactly why your card was declined if you contact us.

5. If for some reason we ran your card, but you’d like to cancel before Wednesday, please inform our customer support folks at service@gogamer.com or PM me here at SimHQ and we will attempt to cancel your order before it goes out to the warehouse to ship. If it has gone out for fulfillment there is no guarantee we can catch it before it ships. Whenever an order is canceled a refund/credit is issued immediately. How fast that refund returns to you is up to your bank.

6. Please note the GoGamer.com return policy. If you don’t like it, please don’t order from us and do some from another retailer with a return policy more to your liking.

I say all this, because the last big flight sim release for us was IL-2 1946 a couple years ago and a decent percentage were declined for various reasons and the customer support necessary to inform everyone on what to do was enormous. I’d like to avoid that with Rise of Flight.

If you receive Rise of Flight and you have difficulty and need technical support please contact the developer neoqb at rof@neoqb.com. They are the responsible party for technical support. Neither I nor GoGamer are any good at solving technical problems.

777 Studios will monitor any discussion of bugs or technical problems on the forums and relay that info to neoqb. All we ask is any discussion about technical issues remain germane to the topic and are civil in tone.

I think that about covers it.

Rise of Flight is definitely on final approach now. Thanks for all your patience!

EDIT: If your order says Unsourceable Hold don't worry. That will go away shortly.

Jason, stupid question. The 30-day backorder e-mail message that was sent out by GoGamer.com, was that a reply to all type message? Meaning, will I possibly still get my copy in the first batch?...or was that a message just sent to the people who are hosed/didn't make it in time?
My order is currently listed as "sourced" from May 31.

What you see is a pre-authorization. In my post above I mention a pre-authorize is not a capture. We failed to capture the money for whatever reason. What you think is a charge is actually not a full charge. When we do a pre-authorization the money is reserved for us so we try to capture it, but it is not given to us, nor is it available to you, it's in a kind of limbo with your bank. What happens is that since we did not capture the money that was pre-authorized it is made available to you again in a couple days. The actual amount of time is up to your bank. No one likes this, but this is how credit card captures work. There is always a delay from when a capture is declined and when the money is returned. It's really annoying and I hate the process because it only irritates people, but there is nothing else I can do. I wish the money was made available to you again instantly, but it is not. Banks let you spend money, but they don't like to return it.

My suggestion is to call your bank, ask them why you were declined, fix whatever the issue is and re-order.

We deal with everyday here. It's not a scam, it's just an inconvenience of how Credit Card banking and e-commerce work.

I just cancelled my order with Amazon because they weren't going to ship until 30 June. I ordered from Gogamer and paid with PayPal and even got free shipping. Saved me $5 over Amazon.

No one is hosed. No one is Backordered. This is was just a dumb glitch our system has when we play with the release date. We had to move the date up to get everyone's order processed in time for Wednesday. So bottom line is you're good.

I don't care when the money is returned. I am just wondering why it was declined, yet the charge is shown. That has never happened to me before, and there is PLENTY of money available. I don't do much on credit, just hotels and airfare.

Can you please push that one through? I have been preordered with the previous bank-botched order since May 25.

Jared, just log into www.gogamer.com and look at your order. That's what I did. Saw my card was hit last night and logged into the website to check the status. It looks like I am good to go. Poor Jason has everyone wanting him to check on their orders. I understand how antsy everyone is getting because I am looking forward to this also. I check what I can myself and then go from there if I think there is an issue.

I can't login to GoGamer, it says I never even made an account there, but as long as Jason says my order # is fine, then I guess I have no reason to try and complain to gogamer why It states that I don't even have an account there.

I tried PayPal the first time, It says it does not allow PayPal for pre-orders, So then I used a credit card.

As long as my order is standing, and it will be shipped to me, then I have no problem with not having an account there

Yes you cannot use PayPal on Pre-Orders.

Jared - You mean to tell me that you placed an order with a Credit Card, but your customer account says nothing? I think you're missing something, because the name on the order # you gave me is not Jared. Maybe your wife or girlfriend ordered for you? I think you have more than one account.

Actually it was a gift from my mother, Ruthanne, She tried her paypal account first, and it did not allow her to use it, so she instead used a credit card. She received an E-Mail regarding the purchase right after she pre-ordered it.

I can't even log in with the account she used to check the order status, it says there was no account found when I try to get the password sent to her e-mail.

Ask her what email she used and PM me.

You ordered FedEx Ground. That usually takes 3-5 days depending on where you live. The USPS Priority Mail option is actually a little faster than the typical Ground delivery. You probably should have stuck to the USPS option. The upside is you have much better tracking capability for you package.
