Hints on how to do it?

First this: IT IS A LOT EASIER IN REAL LIFE.

The first thing to do is stabilize behind whatever is the tanker. Once you are going the same speed in the same space, you can make very small movements that result in a "trend" rather than a hard movement. Pumping the stick will get you nothing...or a collision.

Once in formation, make yourself relax. I like to padlock my view on the tanker whenever possible. Then whatever movement you feel you must make, immediately take away half of it. If you advance the throttle, take half away. I don't know how it works, it just does...in real life and in real YAP.

Thanks!! When I push the UP arrown nothing happens to the fuel guage. I tried going to OPTIONS page and re-mapping from NUMPAD arrows to keyboard ARROWs. Still nothing. I've read other post, but I may need some assistance.

Conemaugh,

Whats happening is every time you even just open the options/controls in game, the refuel mod and the reece mod entries get erased. Quirk of the game. You have to reinstall those entries in the controls INI that you are using. Open the controls folder and check the INI you are using and make sure these entries are there. If you change the mapping for them on your stick or keyboard, you have to go back into the INI and add them again.

Wonder if the above tip from 8 L.E.I.N. should be a "sticky" as it will help newbies like me tremendously.
