That is a somewhat anachronistic device. Think of it as a static offline source for a digital download. It compensates the difficulty of physical distribution by collectibility and touchability. Nevertheless the concept was dropped in the early 21st century in favor of more convenient software distribution methods.

just what is the round flat thing with the hole in the middle? It's an archaic data storage/distribution method of unknown origin. At first, I thought they were only good for use as coasters, but apparently the thrifty have many other uses: http://www.squidoo.com/oldcdEnjoy! Edit: Just wanted to mention that I actually came across an old disk drive for these. Sadly I've tried all three speed settings (33 1/3, 45 and 75 RPM) but wasn't able to produce a recognizable data stream. Well, I was able to recover some audio, just some distorted, demonic voice that said phrases like "light my pipe" and "kneel before me". Kinda spooky, actually.

As someone who remembers his older siblings reversing old Beatles albums trying to find that elusive "Paul is dead", this cracked me up.

You didn't answer the plane question Jason. I'm just about ready to say screw the online requirement, and I'm looking for a really good reason for doing so. I've got the money, my computer is more than adequate to run it nicely, and I've got a fast connection (10Mb),so I guess I'm just looking for that little wisp of wind to blow me off of the fence. So, what aircraft (flyable) are we looking at in the NA release?

I don't know that Jason is monitoring all threads. I'd guess the NA release version will be the same as what's already been released. Not sure about the Nieuport, but I wouldn't be expecting added content just yet. If you're on the fence with it as-is from the Russian release, you might want to use a saddle to get comfortable up there. The breeze isn't too strong, so you'll probably fall whichever way you want to go.

The flyables are:
Spad XIII Fokker D.VII
A.I. are:
Breguet 14 DFW.C Nieuport 17 Nieuport 28 Albatros D.V.
My internet has been down for almost 24 hours. I'm sure I have missed several questions.

CJ Wow,,,,, how about just don't buy ROF. He has stated what aircraft will roll out with the release time and time again. I do not want to sound crass but what the heck? Look around the forms and find out what your looking for without beating someone up for darn sake....
