Definately not the greatest...still tinkering with my Canon Eos Rebel XT.

Last weekend I worked the Indy (Mt Comfort airport) airshow. Because Mt Comfort is a smaller airport, our F-16s and the Blue Angels had to launch from Indianapolis IAP and fly to Mt Comfort.

First off, our F-16s from the 122FW opened the show, and the reason I was there in the first place. smile

2nd, I had to ham it up since we shared the IND ramp with the Blues.

Blues on display...without an audience at the IND airport...

Photos worth noting...

A-10 Demo

B-25 fly-by

"Fat Albert" Blue Angel's C-130...always cool to see.

Thanks for those shots. How do you like the Canon Rebel?

Good pics Weasy. Love the Blues Diamond shot.

Hey, is that a "Go Navy" sign you've got behind you in the Blues ground pic?

The Rebel is a pretty good camera, but to be honest I haven't learned all the ins and outs of it yet. I think once I learn more about what it can do then I could get some super shots. I really don't have the time I'd like to invest just yet, but I'll find the time one of these days. smile

20mm...no. neaner

Nice shots Weasel, you need to take a blower to your sensor to remove that dust spot. ;-)

Nice pics, and it looks like a nice show. Ditto Dave's comment on the blower smile

What lens are you using?

Thanks guys. You know I didn't even know the lens was dusty until I loaded them to my computer. It was so bright outside I could barely make out the images in my screen. I'll definately blow it from now on.

Lens is a Canon EF-5 55-250mm, 1:4-5.6 (if that makes any sense to you guys, I read it off the front of the lens wink ) with an image stabilizer. Picked it up clearance at Best Buy for a couple hundred dollars a few months ago. Gets me in pretty close for some shots...see my "barn swallows" thread for close bird shots taken from about 20 feet away.

cheers

Yeah, dust on the sensor is the bane of every DSLR photographer's existence.

Not that it matters that much, but I'm guessing that's an EF-S lens, not EF-5. That only becomes an issue if you're trying to use it on a different camera that's not EF-S compatible, like the 5D or 1D series. Anyone with a Rebel or XXD series (40D, 50D, etc.) can use it. For chuckles I'll mention that it won't work on film cameras either biggrin
