DISCLAIMER: Taking apart your stick will void the warranty and Logitech does not recommend disassembly.

The stick can be removed from its shaft by removing a few screws and connectors. no irreversible or destructive operations are required.

Will it be availble in the UK in September as well?
Will we be able to pre-order to secure a set on release?

And will the UK price be the £ equivalent to $299 as the Logitech site says - "The Logitech Flight System G940 is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe in September for a suggested retail price of $299.99 (U.S.). "

or will it be:
""The Logitech Flight System G940 will land in Europe this September, with an MRSP of £279 ($457) plus VAT. It’ll launch at the same time in the US, priced at $299.99"" - where ever that quote came from.

Really happy that not only is this a great looking HOTAS setup, but has twin throttles as well.

So many of the Jets we fly are twin engine jets.
Dual throttles are particularly welcome.

Mark, just another question, if you'll be so kind:
How will this setup be detected by Linux? I know that asking for a full software suite might be too much, but it would be nice if the device was visible to the OS

Thanks for the question, it gives me the opportunity to address any operating system questions.

The G940 was designed as a HID device for Windows operating systems including XP 32 & 64, Vista 32 & 64, and Windows 7 32 & 64.

We have no plans to support other operating systems at this time. We have not tested with Apple OS or Linux. As a HID device, it will probably be detected by Apple OS X.

This is a practical decision based on the user base, flight simulation software base, and the ability to deliver a high quality user experience on any OS platform.

LOL I love the disclaimer but don't worry a lot of us happily void warranties like there going out of style! pilot

What about hooking it up to a PS3?

Birds of pray is on the way and it looks really good.

Simw.com shows a July 22 release date. I would like that a lot better than a September release since my birthday is July 24 and I know I will have the cash for it then. Also all you guys whining about no FFB on the throttle...WHEN have you EVER seen or heard of any throttle being effected by the controls like a stick would be? I mean the throttle is not connected directly to ANY control surface and should only be effected by the general movement of an aircraft...not by the forces exerted on a CONTROL SURFACE...ie...rudder, ailerons or elevators. Come on people use your brain. No sim component maker is going to make a full functioning cheap cockpit that you get bounced around in just for the heck of it.
