Hi damson, well yes the same problems are still present with software mode - both the 'rockets-falling-short' problem and yaw-rate problem. This can be helped quite a bit by using a CPU slowdown program, but you run the risk of making the game generally laggy.

I don't thing you can do that in LB2, you can shoot rockets only if you have a target designated. Correct me, if I am wrong.

You're right, you can't actually manually aim higher in LB2, but there are ways of making the rockets get on target more.

1) Simply line up the I-beam with the target but DO NOT tilt the helicopter to make the symbol solid. Just align with yaw.

2) Do what real Apache pilots do, and take a running dive at the target. When you accelerate to over 100kts, the auto-elevation for the rocket pods locks, so you can tilt the helicopter up/down to aim the rockets higher or lower respectively.

I get rockets to work all the time...I just have to loft em a little high of the target. And I've read this about them in real life some times, soooo.... yeah.

OK, so I'm back to this problem of the glide wrapper speeding up my game. I know there was a post about it some time ago, but I can't find it. <frustration> If someone could post possible cures, or a reference to the thread that discussed and solved this it would be great. And thanks in advance!

Setup the wrapper like in these pics...

Note on the second pic, make sure you enable the following:
"Monitor freq is the closest supported freq"
"Always wait for at least one vertical sync"

You may also need to use a CPU killer program, depending on how fast your system is.

OK, so GlideWrapper084c does give me the good terrain texturing and so on. Are there any particular settings in it that may contribute to a more normal speed. It always runs once at normal speed the first time after installing the gw, but subsequent times I need to uninstall and restart and then it may or may not have the super-speed issue.

Any takers? Eh, Flyboy?

Why has dgVoodoo stopped working for you all of a sudden? Have you changed your computer/video card?

I have no experience with the zeckensack Glide Wrapper that you're now talking about. Isn't there a setting in there that can limit the framerate?
