Hello Flight-Sim fans,

For those that are asking where to buy Rise of Flight here is where I will post the list.

The distributor is working hard to place ROF in as many retailers as possible in both the USA and Canada.

For those that are not familar with PC game sales it is not a given that a game will be picked up by any or all major retailers. Some major retailers require 90 day notice before a title can be placed on their shelves. It was impossible to do that in this case. And not all buyers at big retail chains care to carry everything. Some believe it or not will say no. I'm sorry if this irritates anyone, but that's the truth.

For those that want ROF as soon as possible, here is where you can currently order Rise of Flight - The First Great Air War.

The official release date was June 25, 2009.

First it was 8 June release. Then it was 17 June. I pre-ordered at Gogamer.

I hadn't seen this 25 June date before.

What is the latest release date??

Thanks for the info, Jason, just pulled my cc trigger at Amazon.

Frys website still shows it as a pre-order.

I will wait until next Thursday and make a trip to the store to see if they have a copy.

Fry's has been shipped. I can only assume they have it on the floor now, but not sure. I have not been to Fry's yet to see.

I ordered from Go Gamer on Sunday, it shipped on Monday and arrived in Massachusetts on Wednesday. It shipped all the was across the country, via USPS, in two days! Free shipping, two days!

I tried Wallmart, Best Buy, Target, Game Stop, ...

I tried to order it via Go Gamer but my adress does not work... WTF ?!?!
It just keeps saying that my adress is not correct... :-/

Is there a Fry's nearby or a Microcenter? What is your address? I don't know why GoGamer would deny your address, you're in the U.S. so you should be fine.

a friend of mine (without the internet) is searching for a store which is selling RoF in San Francisco... Did anyone buy this game from a store in SF?

Fry's in the Bay Area carries it, but hell need the internet to play.

I have been browsing the Micro Center website and it doesn't list ROF (as of 7/16/09). There is a Micro Center (Paterson, NJ) on my way home from work so I wanted to stop by an pick it up.

It should be there. We shipped to all their stores. We like Microcenter because they are in areas Fry's may not be. Not sure why it's not on their website. Stop in and take a look. If not there let me know.

I stopped by at MC in Northern Jersey (they have only one store in the whole state) last night and they don't have any copies of Rise of Flight. I asked the guy incharge of software and he said he is aware of the game but they haven't received any shipments yet.

Damn. Well they've been shipped. I will ask the distributor to follow up with them. That's the joy of brick and mortar.

I was told they shipped last week. I do not know if it finally made it to the shelves or not yet. Usually items like this get shipped to a central distribution center and then sent to each store after that. Sometimes this process is slow, it depends on the company. Maybe try giving your store a call? If you tell me which store can also call.

I found a copy last night at my local Meijer department store. I wasn't there lookin' for games, I was actually just doin' my shopping, and there it was. I had to grab a copy...

Found a copy at Walmart last night in the Ottawa area. Hurrah!

Great! Steam would be ideal (I'm a late convert), but I may cave before then and get it off of Go Gamer.

Jason, thanks to you and everyone who works to make quality simulations available. I know this has become a niche market and, while I'm disappointed they're aren't more titles, the fact that Rise of Flight has received such a universal accolades shows that this is a labor---- hard labor no doubt!--- of love.

One reason the best sim titles are still being played 3-5 years later while the latest RTS/FTS crap is lucky to find work as a coaster.

Anyway, update much appreciated!

Just checked and ROF has finally arrived at Micro Center (Northern New Jersey store).
