Hi John,

The photo comes from the book 'The Battle of Britain Photographs by the Daily Mail' Maureen Hill. Published by Parragon. ISBN 1 405344 008 2

I'm afraid I don't know the names of any of the people in the pic.

Here is a link to the book on Amazon UK:

I hope this is of use. Thanks for the kind comments on the thread.

RedToo.

Hello RedToo,

Thank you for your reply, and I did buy a copy of the book through Amazon.

I have enjoyed reading some of the detailed threads on this Forum, there are some dedicated and enthusiastic people here...

So the search goes on - for more information about the photograph - I will let you know how I get on.

Kind regards,

John

Thanks to the older heads here.

Except for the last six or so entries, the previous fourteen pages in this thread are over 10 years old and still entertaining and informative.
If you haven't checked it out, I recommend it.

They are about a war that took place when I was in diapers.
I do remember being old enough to be entrusted to stand in line to buy sugar and coal where I was, during the last part - and after it also. -
as well as the celebration the day it ended .
