I saw this at M4T today Mark.
Hopefully you will see this and can help him sort his problem.

Hi gents, I just recieved my Logitech G940 today and have been testing it out.

Overall impressed with the unit but no matter what I do, I can't get force feedback to work. I have done the following:
- Installed and reinstalled software as per directions
- Wiped registry keys which may have caused conflicts
- Tried two seperate installs of IL-2
- Enabled FFB in IL-2 menus
- Enabled FFB and stick centering in Windows game controller panel
- Given system a restart between each attempt

All functions work well, just can't get FFB to work at all. In addition, any idea how to map mouse functionality to one of the hat switches?

Right,
ordered one g940 myself to replace my worn out CH pedals and X52 setup smile
Will arrive today probably so this evening I'll spend fiddling with this I think.

The things above have served me well for almost 7(?) years so no wonder they start to get a wee bit worn smile

Hello,

The "deadzone" of the forces are to big! When you fly a simulator this creates a limp area in the centre where the stick is limp regardless of the forces the aircraft is under in flight. It takes away the feel and is irritating.

I would imagine this is done to protect the stick but in my opinion it should be removed asap.

So if ther is a Logitech member lurking around here smile please narrow this forceless zone in the next driver because it deminish a otherwise superb hardware.

best regards

EDIT:
I think this can be overcome by the daidalus team if they want to! What should be done is this:
Since the forces currently availiable in IL-2 starts a bit in to the travel of the stick a base force simulating the resistance of wires and mechanical linkage must be added. This force should be applied all the time since it is a part of everything that happens with the rudder surfaces even on the tarmac. Infact the rudders should hang when standing still and engine not running on these old birds

This base force should be very low but high enought to push the stick into centre position when no other forces is affecting it.

This is no problem to do since the ffb tool allow for making own forces but where to tell the game to use it is something that maddox or TD must cooperate

regards

EDIT: and it mustn't be to hight to spoile the limp effect that should occur in a situation where the flow over the controls briefly stops.

Absolutely NOT. At least until the "limp" middle of the stick is fixed. I hate it. I returned it after a week of IL2 online plane.
