np... make sure it's not an illegal file/crack/mod or whatever... and an explanation on what it is and what it does would be appreciated, we get suspicious when we just see a link in a post.

Its a 2mb file containing

It is probably the pbo files pulled from a preview version or a review copy. Not really sure if its illegal but defiantly shady. I wonder how much of the game is converted to english with those files? Anyone care to comment?

It definitely looks like someone extracted the text files from the English early press release... In that case I assume not all text will be translated, or that there will be oddities in the translation. That said I don't really see how that's illegal... Translating a game is not a copyright infrigement AFAIK. The 'hacked' files are made by BIS and are intended to be used with an official BIS product and it's not like they make it easier (or possible) to make illegal copies of the game.

It translates nearly everything, occasionally a squad members radio msg subtitles say ***To Translate, is what someone who chose to use it might say they saw.
