Look briliant - Can't wait. Although I wish they would release the Ah-64 Apache first. I think it would suit DCS better to keep it as a helicopter sim at first. I can't image a more cool kind of multiplayer coop, than to share the same cockpit - One player as gunner and one as pilot. Thay would really be innovative, although I think Longbow 2 has the same feature - Haven't tried it though.

Actually, the old Microprose Gunship! has that, and it can still be found at GoGamer.com (http://www.gogamer.com/Gunship--for-PC-Front-Page_stcVVproductId4760059VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htm) for about $5.

It's no Black Shark, and might have a few compatibility issues on new OS's, but it has trees (that you can hide behind) and supports multiplayer with two users in the same helo.

This was an intentional move on DCS' part to go with the A-10. They just felt, as explained to me by Matt, that it made more sense to go with a fixed wing ground attack aircraft (and what better than the A-10?), rather than another helo. The Apache is supposed to come after the A-10.

I think its a good move for the hog next.

1 - Fixed wing guys get there fix.

2 - Helo guys have something to keep busy with

3 - Hog guys know they have at least one module before they're getting shot down online from 80nm away!

And of course they had completed some work on the A-10C for the US ANG.

I can see the A10C being a huge seller for ED in the Western market, its a very popular aircraft easily recognisable to non aircraft nuts.

I believe that is true.
