I thought I would do something different this week. Instead of making another video, I made a slide show with screenshots taken from missions during 1964-1965. The screenshots are not fancy because I wanted to keep the shots realistic. By that I mean shots that would be taken from a person shooting from a camera. Nothing like shots that are taken from outside the airplane floating around it.

Enough yacking, here is the link : http://video.yahoo.com/watch/5123905/13580527

Great stuff. The internal Huey shots are my favorites...like something a kid would take with his new Pentax from the PX to send home. "Magic Carpet Ride" pumped into one's head via tape deck during combat is a strong intoxicant making one a lot braver than he should have been that day.

Darling - I think we'd all be intrigued to know why you're called the Twenty Minuters.

George - Oh, Mister Thicko. Imagine not knowing that.

Flasheart - Well, it's simple! The average life expectancy for a new
pilot is twenty minutes.

Both songs were popular the during the late 60's and early 70's. I remember these songs as a kid listening to it. I vividly remember my father and his buddies singing Hello Vietnam at one of our house parties between his tours in Vietnam. I was too young to understand the song but I loved the guitar playing by one of his buddies. Magic Carpet Ride just makes my mom and dad act goofy while they were dancing to it at parties during the late 60's and early 70's.
