When DeviceLink was added to IL2, it was heralded as a really great advance for cockpit builders. Then we found out some idiot decided it should be disabled in multi-player mode.
This essentially rendered the feature pointless unless the only time you wanted to use your simulator cockpit was for single player mode. I think the kids these days call that EPIC FAIL. biggrin

I discovered today that that astonishingly poor decision had been rectified by the IL2 modding community.

AAA site name is up for sale.

Is re-enabling devicelink for multiplay a regular part of mod packages?

What I remember was that some part(s) of devicelink were being used to cheat online but I never knew exactly how.
Is it possible that while connected to another computer to get an extra UDP socket to devicelink on that PC? Could know all that?

AAA has become AAS- however they've kept the forum database so if you use the reference to thread at the AAS site it will work

don't think it got taken up by the mod packs

as to the 'cheating' side of it -it may have been possible in theory , maybe but pretty far fetched.

pity as UDPspeed gauges now can do multi engined planes properly
