I'd wager that the updates to LOMAC will be the long awaited patch nothing more nothing less. I like LOMAC but after playing DCS BS I dont want to step back unless I have to. The A10 in LOMAC is good for now but when DCS A10 comes out that'll be all the rage for me!

The problem with the Lock On A10 is the basic fight modelling, it never really did it for me and once the advanced flight model Su25 was released I couldn't go back.

Lock On's avionics were always deep enough for me, I'd be happy with Lock On style generic avionics but with DCS flight models. Flight simming has always been about the flying for me rather than button pushing. I like and appreciate what ED is doing with the DCS series but there's always going to be restrictions preventng the modelling of current aircraft (A10C accepted) I just think there's another way available and an avionics lite product would appeal to a lot of people, as well as giving the flexibility to include a greater range of current aircraft.

The Lock On name is irrelevant, they could easilly call is something else, irc ED have all the code rights UBI just own the Lock On name.

Like Mogster I didn't want to fly anything else once I tried the new Su-25 . . . although I admit I was initially shy about learning the new weaponry. If DCS decides to do the Su-25 again in their new engine, I'd surely fly it again!

I imagine they will eventually, but I don't think it'll be a T.

Hmmm, a dedicated server for Black Shark, I hope?

That would be a major new feature, so I can't see it happening in a patch ... sometime in the future perhaps, I think they always wanted to do this.

If DCS ever want this game to be embraced by worldwide gaming networks, they would have to offer a Linux based dedi.

Offering a windows based dedi, is more suited to the home based host.
