I personally think you did very well in this flight, I loved your leading the Albatros when you shot at him in zoomed-in view.

Agreed. I thought you had him on that pass. Just a little higher!

I'd like to know what the "uh oh!" was about. Sounded like you lost a control surface. Maybe a stall?

Thanks.

Zooming: I don't like to have eye strain or at least limit eye strain to a point - I do lean in on occasion though, it's only natural. I have a hat switch mapped to mannually zoom in or out. Again, I will lean in some to line up sight and needle, but mostly I'm manually zooming in with the hat switch.

One feature I will be using a lot is the customizable views. You are able to customize any view you want. What I did was customize my own "gunsight" view. So when I hit a direction on my hats witch and hold my customized "gunsight view" is activated. The customized view over rides the TIR which is very cool. Then I can zoom in or out from that static view. The reason why I didnt use the customized view in the video is because the action was well underway and I did not want to waste time setting up a "gunsight" view (I am sure in the retail version you will be able save your views and wont have to go through setting these up before each flight.)

PS. I am litterally going through withdrawal now since beta testing has ended - it was such a tease! "here test out this great sim with fantastic flight model, terrain, damage model, it's like nothing you have ever experienced before in any combat flight sim - great thanks for all your help. Your password/login are now invalid see you in a month for release!"

Yes, I needed to pull up a little more on those shots, but I am so paranoid about stalling in the Spad when making those agressive moves - once you stall you are pretty much dead meat at those altitudes.

The comments you heard was a wingmate trying to follow up my attack - I guess he pulled too many G's or was on the verge of stalling trying to get the death blow on that freakin Fokker that wouldn't die!

understood.

I just thought the "uh oh!" was funny. It corresponded with the view (seemingly intuitive) to the control stick. Reminded me of something I'd do when losing rudder or elevator ("Sh#t!"). Doesn't help the situation to look at all, but I still do for whatever reason. Maybe just to make sure the virtual stick is still moving.

Oh, yes, I definitely understand that you must be going through withdrawal. But, hey, you have been a part in the making of Sim history, that is really something!

Well at least the testing forum is still up, so our inputs can continue.

(waiting for Memorial Flight too) wink

Memorial Flight is awesome! Their input is invaluable!

I am so glad neoqb has their feedback and experience to make this sim even better!

I also think Memorial Flight's input will be key in making the flight model as close as possible to the real-life machines. It will help Neoqb figure out how to implement their excellent physics engine effectively for the other planes coming down the pipe.

The Dr1 and Camel should prove real interesting when they become available. wink
