Looking forward to it Ray, can I ask a question and a petition please? First the question:

-The TBO-2 will be torpedo capable and carrier based?

and a petition, can we see some pics of Port Moresby city and Harbour and Rabaul If both places are modelled?

All the targets are loaded with new stuff to destroy. Port Moresby and Rabaul are chock full of interesting things that go boom. I'll put together some target pics later today.

In addition there are many new targets. I've added small island garrisons, radar sites and a some emergency airstrips. I've already had to use one of the strips when my Hellcat got caught low and slow by a Ki-43.

The frontline moves too. So targets that are Japanese held early in the campaign switch to Allied later on. With the change in sides the various ground models change too. Among other things the flags at the target sites will reflect whose side its' on.

The TBO-2 is set up as a dive bomber / torpedo bomber and it will be carrier based. Although, with Knegle's tail hook modification you can fly from land or sea and the model will look OK. No more tail hooks hanging out on takeoff as we had in the past.

I have gotten back into EAW big time after a disappointing go with CFS3.

Amazing work.

Hope the dentist appointment went well.... smile

Man Ray, we have a date for this one? I will be out until mid May for a trip to Italy, wondering If I will be able to download it for then?
Another question is, will be carriers selectable as Home Base / Targets for Single Missions? Will they have an aproppiate escort?
I'm really interested in the MB-3 there

Yup, carriers have angry escorts all around them. Light cruisers and destroyers with lots of AA. They are fully selectable in single missions as home base and target. Plus they are included in pilot career mode.

7 carriers will be available :

USS Enterprise
USS Saratoga
USS Long Island
HMS Victorious
IJN Zuikaku
IJN Shokaku
IJN Ryojo

Ant they all have their own models.

In addition the battleships have individual names.

Speaking of the AA, thanks to Knegle I was able to reduce the effectiveness of individual AA mounts so that you have a chance of succeeding in your attack mission yet you don't want to stick around or you WILL be swimming home.

Yeah the MB-3 was an awesome plane. too bad the prototype crashed during testing. Think Hurricane on steroids. What's not to like about 6 20mm cannon with 200 rounds apiece?

South Pacific Air War will come out after the release of 1.28a since many of the things we've added depend on the new exec.

Hey Ray.

That's looking really good. smile

It's a pity my idea of a parachute spawning a man in a life raft, on the sea, got Poo Poo'ed.

Would have looked really cool in your scenario. frown

Rabaul (look close and you'll see the place is swarming with targets of opportunity):

Port Moresby:

A36 with 3 position flaps ( a little hard to see but the flaps move in increments according to the pilots selection ):

A36 with fully functional dive brakes:

Don't dogfight the Zeros but if the opportunity presents itself down low the A-36 is a decent fighter:

A POW camp:

Airfields have many parked planes:

Be careful when attacking Ammo Ships and Oil Tankers:

Some hangar screens from MadProf:

Nice work, Ray and Team. Mad Prof's screens are always interesting.
thumbsup

Are you sure that's the right aircraft in the "F6F escorts a wounded PB4y" above?
