G4M2 ( BETTY )
A6M2 ( Kamikaze )

All but 5 of the planes are hi-res and those five are enhanced lo-res. Other than the PBJ-1H, the bombers are not-flyable.

I will also put together a purely historical add-on package that replaces the "what-if" planes with different versions of factual planes. For instance I will replace the TBO-2 with the TBF once I make a Hi-res model.

Also, Iron Mike has produced a number of different version of some of the planes and those will be offered separately.

Plus I put together a "fun" pack of 13 float planes. Even though we can have float planes in the game now I didn't include any because they would get slaughtered. But a separate pack will allow float plane vs float plane conflicts.

So, lots and lots of variety. Your wife is going to be lonely.

Woody,

The PB4Y was the Navy's version of the B24. Are you thinking PBY?

Exactly what I was thinking, Ray O. Thanks for clearing that up.

Wonder why the U.S. Navy used B-24's? They had a terrible reputation for being impossible to ditch successfully in the sea, according to what I have read.

High wing, very good range and Navy Regs that stated a heap of paperwork and pay deductions if a crew lost one.

Yes, that Davis wing gave them excellent range.

That what I see looks mighty good - congrats Ray and others thumbsup

Any chance to align the building to the ground texture (the factory, for instance)?

Looking forward to the Pacific point of view pilot

Hi Ray,

iam realy looking forward to this!!

The screenes are great and the targets seems to be worth a interdiction. wink

btw. do you got aware of the "new" "rated altitude" engine setting??

Above rated altitude the engines cant reach the max boost anymore, as result they normaly wont overheat anymore(lees boost = smaler cylinder loading = less power = less heat).

The old "max altitude" value actually never was needed, cause the "power slope above best altitude" already did limit the max alt(if adjusted right!), so now the "max altitude" value act as "rated altitude", above this the engine wont overheat(if the plane fly faster than the "speed of best cooling").

This feature give another variation. Planes with an high rated altitude often have much power there, but for the price of possible overheat. So for example a P47D had 2600HP in 26000 feet altitude, but this was war emergency power while the F4U-1 had a rated altitude of 19000 feet and 2000 HP.
At 20000 Feet altitude the P47D had a Vmax of 419mph and the F4U-1 415mph, so the P47D was faster, but since the F4U-1 was already above its rated altitude, it could use the used power setting longer, with a powerstting with equivalenttime of usage, the P47D would be the slower plane.
The "max time of usage" is a rather important factor.
(btw. the datas above are from an US fighter comparison sheet)

Greetings,

Knegel

I cannot wait for its release. I like to fly in different Theater and with different Nationalities. After all World war was a true World war.I hope this project is as good as the that put together Patch 1.28 together. This way we all bee able to fly as a community in both theater representing Word war two in its totality EAW style.
