Was fortunate enough today to get a copy of the DVD movie "The Red Baron" and really enjoyed it. The planes and the flight graphics are as good as they can get. I also have a copy of "Fly Boys" that I have looked at several times and like the flight graphics even thought they are a little more "Hollywood". "Red Baron" flight scenes seemed more real in comparison. Great movie! See it if you can.

So the new age Richthofen didn't spoil the movie?

Not for me. Loved the aircraft graphics and the ground scenery.

I am a movie lover and tend to like most all or just enjoy them for the moment. So I probably look more favorably on some than others. And I think that some just dislike most that they see or maybe dwell on the unlikeable parts and not the enjoyable parts.

I read somewhere that there wasn't a foot of film showing a plane landing or taking off.

Also I read that there were very few scenes of any air combat at all. The review I read left the impression that the movie was a love story that used WW1 as a backdrop, and it really wasn't an air squadron combat movie at all.

I don't know what Red Baron movie you are reviewing then. If it is not the German one, it is one I haven't heard of.

He's not saying it isn't the German one. He's just saying that he doesn't think it's been released in the States yet.
