Now, I'm seeing flying snakes instead of smoke trails. What's up with that?

It's smoke from the tracers - many people thought it was much better, and it's based on the smoke emitted from the tracer.

See, I told you.. reading how does that old saying go..

You can please some of the people all the time, and all the people some of the time, but you can't please all the people all the time.

And then, there are those few who just want to find faults based on their own perceptions, or who just like to criticize, period.. for reasons I still can't figure out.. oh well.

I'm not saying it's bad, just weird lookling. I've already fixed it by making the S curve a bit narrower again, but kept the increased visibility that really was an improvement.

OK, thanks for clarifying that, Major, that's a big difference from saying they look like "flying snakes instead of smoke trails"

What I meant by flying snakes is that I can clearly see the tracersmoke4 texture and the S shape looks nearly as wide as it is long. That makes it look like a static shape rather than a trail of smoke going down range. By tightening it back in my eye is better able to blend it into a wavy streak, as I think was the original intension of the change.

While I was adjusting the smoke, I also tweaked the tracer color to match the British SPG Mark VIIG round (8 parts Barium Chloride & 1 part Magnesium). If it's of interest to anyone I can post it over at CombatAce.

That would be fine, look forward to seeing what you came up with and I'm sure the other players there will too.

Thanks,
