Hi all just wanted to let you know we're still kicking and work on the Cross Channel Map is still progressing. Last couple of weeks we've been working on adding/adjusting land elements and textures as well as tides and swamps. 352ndOscar has built some really beautiful Harbors which I'll try and post a couple pics over this weekend. Plus we have a host of new surprises in store. Unvbelievable what you can come up with after 5 cups of coffee. WinkNGrin

Best regards,
Booze cheers

Truly unbelievable, whats going on here. I have a question. Will it be possible to use this map as, let's say, an Eighth Air Force map, or will that come later? I assume there will be some large airfields that Forts and Libs can use. As an Eighth Air Force squadron, I'm sure you guys have planned for that stage of the war, too.

Lacrits not sure about the 3D Bunnies way to much work to clean up after. WinkNGrin

Pooch thanks for asking yes we already have in the works a 1943 - 1945 version that will be our 2nd release after the Battle of Brittain Map. It will be on this same map just updated with all the 8th AF airfields as well as updated Luftwaffe airfields. You can preview a few of them on the 352ndVFG website and we will post pics here in this wonderful Forums also as we progress along.

Best regards,
Booze cheers

He keeps bumping it, I keep getting excited as it pops up if I can say that in mixed company. Someone have a word with him

Don't stop though, I can take it. The bumping not the popping up Smile2

Can't speak for Booze, but, we are in the process of doing the final placing of the bases on the map - so far, Manston, Croydon, Kenley, Biggin Hill, Middle Wallop, Boscombe Down, Debden, Tangmere are in - many, many more are built and are sitting in the queue. Most of the map conturing work is done (maybe a little tweaking just before release). The ports of Le Harve, Portsmouth, Southampton, Boulougne, Calais, Dunkerque have been added to those of Dover and Cherboug. We are also finalizing the texture set. Some modders have been engaged to produce some objects for the map. The Coop BoB Mission Pack continues to be tested and tweaked. Probably more but its a big project to bring this together - especially when its being done in our 'spare' time - if there is such a thing.

We do know how you all like screenshots, so I'll put a bug in Booze's ear to get you something to tide you over.

LOL, yes thanks for the bug Oscar will get some new screenies up in the next couple of days. I apologize for being so long in between screenshots all but the last 2 weeks has been filled with activity working on the map and we all have been doing just that. Much progress has been made and lots of new developments. Please hang in there as we progress along and will have some new shots up in the next day or so. WinkNGrin

Best regards,
Booze cheers
