Now even people who fly the original, unextracted/unmodified TAW can fly these missions online!

This mod is a multiplayer conversion of the original tours of duty from F-22 Air Dominance Fighter and Red Sea Operations
These missions should work on any extracted version of TAW, and come in two versions: one that allows respawn, and one that does not.
This is
an alpha release a work in progress, and there will be bugs.
My motivations for this release are twofold. First, I just want to put it out there that it can be done. Second, I don't have the time to test 60 missions, so I am hoping for as much help as I can get from the community at large. I would like to put a smooth version of this in the final 1.5 release of F-22 2008.
Since player AWACS control cannot be accomplished in multiplayer, I have converted some of the AWACS only missions to F-22 missions by activating the fighters (and in one case replacing F-15s with F-22s). Because of this, you may find some mission goals may differ from your tasked flight. I doubt I caught everything.
Numbers in parenthesis indicate number of player slots available. (A) indicates an unconverted AWACS mission, and
is there as a placeholder only. I don't recommend flying these missions, unless you want to fly a defenseless 707.
Mission briefings have not changed (though many of them need to be); I copied the original mission briefings from the single player missions. Again, I just don't have the time to scrub 60 mission briefings and modify the ones that need it.
So here's my request:Play the missions. Report anything out of balance, boring, that doesn't work (or for that matter, doesn't work well), frustrations, et. al. as well as bugs. Please report all the bugs you see, and I will address them.
Some specific things to look for and report:
- Victory conditions differ from specified mission objectives (quite possible, especially when striking static targets).
- You cannot accurately determine your objective based on the brief (also a possibility, see above bullet).
- Your mission success depends on flights unrelated to your flight or strike package (especially a possibility on converted AWACS missions).
- If you have suggestions on making (A) missions playable in F-22s, I would very much like to hear them.
I especially value the perspective of those of you who have played these missions in Single Player. I would very much like to hear what needs to be done to make these better multiplayer missions. This is especially true of the AWACS missions. If there is a flight of F-22s you found yourself jumping into more often than others in a mission, let me know and I can make that the active flight.
One last thing: I recommend using a mod manager (such as
Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler when using this mod. This mod only overwrites two files (modifying the Multiplayer menu to allow for the addtional missions), but there will most assuredly be updates, and a clean install and removal is ideal.
