I have the same problem.

The time to set it is right after the splash screen with the pilot walking to the aircraft on the green field. That is when DCS hops back to single processor. Then I toggle prifinitty to switch to multicore.

LOL, that's why I just dumped trying to get prifinitty to work and went with the app in the start of the thread!

Glad I haven't touched Vista. Seems to be anathema for gamers.

Actually, I've not had any real issues with Vista, and I like the fps boost Vista gives me with Black Shark.

XP doesn't handle things the same way, so using more than one core doesn't help the sim run.

Don't believe the hype - there's nothing wrong with Vista.

Does end-it-all allow you to change the affinity of cores to threads?

If it is part of DCSmax, it may be a time delay to allow DCS to load before resetting it to multicore. As I mentioned above, with priffinity, I have to switch task to reset it to multicore after the flight portion starts loading.

Right click on the icon, click properties, click compatibility, fill in the square for "Run this program as an Administrator", click apply then OK

I use "Set Infinity II"
