Very cool.

I wonder how they went about training a dog to not freak out when up in the air like that.

I was thinking the same thing about the dog, shocked to seem him on there.

Love the banked Viper shots, but the Heritage shots are awesome. I've never seen the F-86 in person, the weather finally cooperated for you.

Thanks guys! Yeah, the weather and lighting worked out well this time. As Dave alluded to, in years past it has been overcast and/or rainy there. The Sunday following was overcast, so we got it in just in time. With the light from behind all day, it was great. Chris, you still got some good stuff in that harsh lighting.

There's still a lot of haze in the air there, and I think that's what caused some of them to be a bit soft, but I'm also wondering if my camera or lens is having some focus issues. I'll shoot another show and see before sending it off. Canon has a new repair option for the 1D Mk. IIIs, so I will probably send it in for that eventually anyway. Might have to wait until fall though, so I don't miss any shows.

There was supposed to be a Navy Legacy Flight, but VFA-125 canceled, and I'm not sure why. In previous shows, the F-16s just did a few basic fly-bys, but I think the good weather made them decide to do a bit more, and they did several fly-bys, and even did a bit of a knife-edge pass. A Skyraider was also supposed to be there but didn't show, so that was a bummer, but overall it was a good show, and it was nice to see the F-86 and A-10 together.

Thanks Bob - I was thinking of you when I was out there shooting. Well, what you would say, anyway. smile

This one didn't turn out quite as good, but the front looks fairly clear:
