And here I thought Texas (cow) and North Carolina (pig) were famous for their BBQs wink Still nothin' from anybody in either of those states!

Party poopers.

slackers, I tell ya...

Last successful event like this I recall was several years ago up in the Pacific NW. Tom C, Rick.50, I don't recall who else. And no, I wasn't there.

I'm not fond of "Carolina" BBQ - although I'll never, ever turn it down!

I eat at this guys place at least once a week.

So is it at your house or the March Field museum?
Do you know how to cook Elk steaks and/or Elk burgers? I can bring some if you do.
If I can get in the car I'll be there.

If I had a crew chief my sim-race car would be fast too.

Both tusler. I thought we'd all meet up at the March Field Museum, tour the museum (last time I was there, parking was free and entrance into the museum was $8.00) in the morning. Then, caravan to my place about 10-15 minute drive down the 215.

Elk? Well, maybe I can look up some BBQing hints on BBQing Elk.

Elk is delicious. I don't think there's that much difference in grilling an Elk steak or burger than beef.

The biggest thing I miss about not living in Texas anymore is the food. The awesome BBQ and Tex Mex especially.

I sense a Panzer food trip to Texas. And sense you're there, might as well keep on going. To Ghost's house. And sense you're there, might as well turn around and go back to Texas. And then Florida. And sense you're there, might as well just keep on going.

I would imagine that whale is a very fatty meat.

Actually, it's not. All the fat is in the layer of blubber, which we in Norway don't eat. We just sell it to the Japanese, while keeping the meat.

The Museum/BBQ will be on the 2nd of May. I figure we'll meet up at the Museum at around 1000, tour the museum and caravan to my place, for BBQ.

Whale meat is kind of layered like salmon but is the colour of beef and tastes just like beef. I had to try it so I could see what a delicacy it is Such a delicacy, it gets served as school lunches ...!

Pure beef sausages or lamb & mint ... now that's meat biggrin
