Really nice and rather funky to hear how the engine pitch changes with quick movements of the viewpoint. I guess this means that all sounds are dependent on distance and relative movement, which is awesome. Would that not also make for a delay in the sound of far-off explosions?

I used to gaze at Mark Millers 3D rendering in awe, dreaming that one day we would be able to match his work in a sim

From what I read on the blog, it won´t be possible to choose ammo composition. Maybe later tho, and maybe as a reward for downing several enemies.

Th collision at 53 seconds into the movie looks really realistic, as does the stall and spin of another plane later on. Kudos!

BTW, if you click on the blog entry comments you get a whole lot of superb screenies, which show, among other things, that planes cast shadows on each other.

The landscapes colors on these screenshots look really good.

But are you sure that these tracers are really realistic ?
They look really large and deep to me.
