What are your systems specs?

My system is a LG S900 notebook.

2,2Ghz Dual Core, 2Gb RAM, 256 Mb video card (GT 8600), OS Vista 32.

It's a shame that these slowdowns appear since it really destroys the game for me. I tried to remove the textures, to use the glass cockpit, the less detailed cockpit feature, nothing works. Only the total removal of the cockpit resolves the problem and everything is super smooth then - albeit no fun to fly of course .

I would so love to play this game frown

Is the Hind's roll in the opposite direction when you yaw fixed on flight model 3?

Hmmmm. My desktop specs are actually a bit less than yours and it works fine. The main difference is I'm running a well tuned version of XP.

I will defer to some folks that may have more experience with Vista.

Thought: Does EECH play will with dual core?

I tried to run it with compatibility mode/XP - same problem

Thank you, a solution to this would make my day smile

Running on two or only one core doesn't make any difference.

Today I realized that there's a blue bar in the sky when I look up to the rotors...but that wouldn't distract me the way the 'stuttering' does.

Thanks for your help,

Grim

Thanks arneh ... with this patch (and after I deleted the game.cfg) I can finally use higher resolutions than 640x480. Works like a charm.

I am sorry if this sounds like a really stupid question, but you are running with the latest graphics drivers, right?

Do you get slowdowns in any other games?

Yes

No, all games - older ones and high end games like Company of Heroes - run smoothly with highest settings. I only have these problems with EE and only if the cockpit is 'on'.

What's the deal with the Hind rolling in the wrong direction when you yaw? Hello? Anybody out there?

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to. What's the wrong direction? Are you referring to the effect that because the tail rotor is mounted so high above the centre of gravity, that introducing a sideways force that high will introduce a rolling moment? If so then that's a force which affects real helicopters too.
